I grew up a "lake girl" but loved the ocean (AND the sandy beach) as soon as I met them. Nothing beats walking along the ocean's edge, watching your footprints instantly disappear behind you. I cannot be forced to choose, though. Each environ has its charm.
Love to walk barefoot in the sand to a brackish tidal pool and watch the creatures scurrying about and try to figure out what they are, where they came from and where they will eventually go......I do love a sandy beach......loved this read!! The pictures are beautiful!!!
I have earrings that carry a little sand from Sanibel. 🙂 I loved sand as a kid! I was always an ocean person, not a lake one, even though I lived a block away from Lake Michigan. Now, sand is a little annoying but nothing beats the soft, cushy sand of Fort Myers Beach. Great post!
